Tehran, IRNA – A recent report by the Global Innovation Index (GII) reveals that Iran has climbed 50 positions from 113th in 2013 to 63rd in 2023, making it the 63rd most innovative country out of the 132 featured in the GII.
The GII is published by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), a specialized agency of the United Nations.
According to the GII 2022 report, Iran has shown the fastest performance in innovation growth and ranks as the second most innovative country in the Central and South Asia region.
The report also highlights that India, Iran, the Philippines, Turkey, Vietnam, and Indonesia are among the top 65 economies that have risen fastest in the rankings over the last decade.
